The opening hours at Kap Arkona vary depending on the season. During the peak season (roughly May to September), the towers are usually open daily from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. In the off-season and during the winter months, they often close as early as 4.00 pm or 5.00 pm. Note for 2026: Please note that the large lighthouse is not expected to reopen until early summer due to renovation work – but the Schinkel Tower and the Signal Tower will continue to offer you fantastic views!

Yes, absolutely! The terrain around the lighthouses is wonderfully flat and ideal for pushchairs. You can also reach the idyllic fishing village of Vitt via paved paths – but be prepared for a steep stretch and historic cobblestones in the village itself. If you want to enjoy the view from the lighthouses, you’ll need to be fairly fit: in the historic lighthouses, the only way up is via steps; there’s no lift.
