FAQ: Frequently asked questions about
Holidays with dogs Warnemünde
Is my dog welcome at aja Warnemünde and how much does it cost to stay overnight?
Yes, we look forward to welcoming you and your furry friend! As we are a dog-friendly hotel, we have reserved special rooms for guests with four-legged companions. The surcharge is € 25.00 per night and dog (without food). To make sure your darling feels right at home with us, we will provide you with a cosy dog blanket and a bowl directly in your room.
Can my dog accompany me to all areas of the hotel?
Your dog is a welcome guest in most areas of the hotel. However, for reasons of hygiene, we ask for your understanding that your four-legged friend is not allowed in the restaurant, bar and the entire spa area. You can of course relax together in the lobby and in your room at any time.
Where can I find the dog beaches in Warnemünde and the surrounding area?
This depends entirely on the time of year and your favourite location:
Low season (October to April): Your dog is allowed on all sections of the beach. Please note, however, that on the main beach (from the west pier to landing 21), dogs must be kept on a lead all year round.
High season (May to September):
Warnemünde main beach: Dogs are only allowed here between beach accesses 8 to 10 from 21:00 in the evening until 09:00 in the morning. If you rent a beach chair, your dog is allowed on the beach (on a lead, max. 2 metre radius from the basket).
Diedrichshagen: Beach access points 27-31 (fine sand and stones) and 36-38 (also a nudist beach) are a real insider tip.
Markgrafenheide: There is plenty of space to run from beach access 34 (eastwards).
Where is the best place to go for a walk near the hotel?
You have the perfect choice right on our doorstep: Enjoy a relaxing walk along the promenade or stroll past the "Alter Strom". If your dog prefers to be out and about in the countryside, the nearby spa gardens or the coastal forest are ideal for a long sniffing session. You will find poo bag stations in many places around the promenade.
What do I need to consider when booking and on site?
Please let us know when you make your reservation that you are travelling with your dog so that we can prepare everything for you. Please remember that dogs must be kept on a lead in public areas and on the specially marked beach areas. So nothing stands in the way of a relaxing holiday for people and animals!
