Westernberg

The Westernberg ski resort is situated right in Ruhpolding – perfect for beginners and families. Here, the little ones can practise their first turns, whilst the grown-ups enjoy the day on the gentle slopes. Short distances, few crowds and plenty of winter fun.

Maiergschwendt

The small, charming Maiergschwendt ski area is just a few minutes away from the village. It's very relaxed here - perfect for anyone who simply wants to spend a few hours in the snow after a break from everyday life. Clear, quiet and wonderfully uncomplicated.

Cross-country skiing

Ruhpolding and the Chiemgau region offer you the perfect conditions for your cross-country skiing adventure. A free network of trails stretching over 130 kilometres starts right outside the aja Ruhpolding. Passing through our Three Lakes region, the trails also lead on to Inzell and Reit im Winkl.

Winter hiking in the Chiemgau

The Ruhpolding ice rink is open from October to March. Here you can not only go ice skating, but also try your hand at curling. However, prior booking is required.
