Hiking in Bansin
on Usedom
On Usedom, you can really switch off while hiking and walking. Over 400 kilometres of paths lead you along the cliffs to Koserow, through the green Achterland to Mellenthin or to the small fishing village of Kamminke on the Szczecin Lagoon. Whether sea view, forest or meadows - here you will find new favourite routes for exercise with a view every day.

Bansin - Mümmelkensee - Bansin: 11.3 km
Description: You start your hike directly from aja Bansin in the direction of Langer Berg (54 m). Shortly before you reach the summit, turn left into the nature reserve and follow the path to the idyllic Mümmelkensee lake. On the way there, it is worth stopping at the viewing platform with a view over the lake. You then cross the main road and walk past the Schieferberg and Schmollensee lakes to the Fangel forester's lodge. From there, the trail continues to the Krebsseen lakes near Neu Sallenthin. If you like, climb up the Krückenberg - the "Sieben-Seen-Blick" viewpoint offers a panorama you won't forget. Return via Bansin Dorf, then along the Fischerweg back to the hotel.

Usedom town - Welzin - Stolpe - Usedom town: 12.4 km
Description: Your tour starts in Usedom town - past the Usedom church, the local history museum in Anklamer Tor, the Schlossberg and the small harbour. From there, the route takes you through the town forest to Stolpe. Here it is worth taking a look at the medieval fieldstone church and making a detour to Stolpe Castle. You then hike across meadows and fields towards Welzin. In addition to the idyllic cheese dairy, with a bit of luck you may also spot buzzards, seagulls, swans or wild ducks. After Welzin, your route continues to Ostklüne - shortly after the cemetery, turn right onto the dyke and enjoy the view over the landscape.
