How far is the Sellin pier from the aja Hotel?
As our aja Hotel is located in neighbouring Göhren, you can reach the Sellin pier in around 10 to 15 minutes by car. If you would prefer to take a more athletic approach to this fantastic route, plan around 25 to 30 minutes by bike - the route takes you through the marvellous Granitz.
Is there an entrance fee to visit the Sellin pier?
Access to the Sellin pier itself is free of charge. So you can enjoy the view or stroll along the planks at any time. Fees only apply if you want to use the diving gondola or stop off at the restaurant there.
How long is the Rügen pier in Sellin?
The pier is almost 400 metres long, making it the longest on the island. It therefore offers you enough space for a long walk directly above the sea while the fresh Baltic Sea air blows around your nose.
Is the Sellin pier suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs?
Yes, absolutely! To get from the high bank (where Wilhelmstraße ends) to the bridge, you don't have to use the "Himmelsleiter" staircase. Right next to it is a free inclined lift that takes you down barrier-free. The bridge itself is also level and has no steps, making it ideal for families with pushchairs.
