Yoga retreat in the mountains

Sometimes it takes surprisingly little to enjoy a proper break: a yoga mat, crisp mountain air and time that’s simply all your own. In Werfenweng, you’ll find the perfect place for just that. Set amidst the Salzburg mountains, the yoga retreat with Svenja Kunde at the aja Bergresort Werfenweng combines exercise, relaxation and a good dose of distance from everyday life.

During the group yoga sessions, you can unwind and recharge your batteries – with the mountains always within sight. And when you’re taking a break from your mat? Then there’s time for a few relaxing hours at the aja SPA, a stroll through nature or simply doing nothing at all. That’s what a holiday for body and mind is all about.

What is yoga?

Yoga originated in India and combines physical exercises with breathing techniques, meditation and spiritual teachings. Practising various postures, known as asanas, improves strength, balance and flexibility. However, yoga is more than just physical exercise; it is a holistic philosophy of life that aims to foster greater mindfulness, conscious presence in the here and now, and improved harmony between body and mind.

Why go on a yoga retreat in the mountains?

Surrounded by mountains, it’s easier to leave the daily grind behind. That’s exactly why yoga is such a perfect fit for Werfenweng. The Salzburg mountains, the crisp mountain air and the natural surroundings create space to take a deep breath and switch off.

The yoga sessions combine movement and tranquillity, whilst the next dose of relaxation is waiting right on your doorstep. Take a few steps through the countryside, let your gaze wander over the mountains, or unwind afterwards at the aja SPA. Werfenweng turns yoga into a real break from it all.
