Baltic Sea Wellness Hotel:
The sea calls. Leave the daily grind behind.
Wellness and the Baltic Sea? At aja, you get both. Our wellness hotels on the Baltic Sea combine fresh sea air and long walks on the beach with cosy warmth and plenty of time to unwind. Depending on the hotel, you can enjoy swimming pools, saunas, massages and spa treatments – and the sea is always just a stone’s throw away. A stroll along the beach in the morning, a dip in the sea in the afternoon and warming up in the sauna later on: that’s what makes a wellness holiday feel truly wonderful. And it turns an aja wellness hotel on the Baltic Sea into your favourite spot for a relaxing break by the sea.

Frequently asked questions about our
wellness hotels on the Baltic Sea
Is it possible to book massages at the aja wellness hotels on the Baltic Sea before you arrive?
Yes, you can book massages and treatments before you arrive. We particularly recommend doing this for popular slots, to ensure your preferred time is still available. Depending on the aja Hotel, you can book your appointment directly online or via the hotel or spa.
Which aja Hotel on the Baltic Sea is best suited for a spa holiday?
It depends on what you’re looking for from your wellness break. The aja Warnemünde offers a particularly wide range of facilities, including a large indoor pool, an outdoor pool with views of the Baltic Sea, a whirlpool and various saunas. In Travemünde, you’ll also find indoor and outdoor pools as well as a varied sauna area, whilst in Grömitz you’ll have direct access to the Grömitzer Welle, with around 1,000 m² of water and a 600 m² sauna area. Bansin and Göhren also combine wellness with a close proximity to the Baltic Sea.
Are the wellness facilities also open to day visitors who are not staying overnight?
Yes, even without an overnight stay, you can treat yourself to a wellness break by the Baltic Sea with aja. Several aja hotels offer day-visit packages, including those in Warnemünde, Travemünde and Bansin. Offers and availability vary from hotel to hotel – so it’s best to check in advance and make a booking.
Which aja wellness hotels on the Baltic Sea have a children’s pool?
The aja Hotels in Travemünde, Warnemünde and Bansin each have their own children’s pool. In Travemünde, there is a shallow children’s pool with a slide; Warnemünde also offers a separate children’s pool with a small slide and play features; and in Bansin, a children’s pool forms part of the aquatic centre.
At the aja Grömitz, the adjoining Grömitzer Welle also features a baby area as well as a leisure and adventure pool with a water slide.
From what age are children allowed to use the saunas?
This varies depending on the aja hotel. In Travemünde and Warnemünde, for example, the standard sauna area is accessible to guests aged 14 and over. In Travemünde, there is also a family sauna where guests can wear swimwear, allowing younger guests to enjoy their first sauna experiences. In Bansin, minors are permitted to use the sauna area when accompanied by a parent or guardian. It’s therefore best to check the rules at the relevant aja Hotel before your stay.
How far are the aja Wellness Hotels on the Baltic Sea from the beach?
At aja, the sea is always close by: the Baltic Sea hotels – aja Grömitz, aja Travemünde, aja Warnemünde, aja Bansin and aja Nordperd & Villen Göhren – are situated right on the coast or just a few steps from the beach. This makes it easy to combine a Baltic Sea beach holiday with a wellness break.
Is access to the swimming pool and sauna included in the room rate?
Access to the pool and sauna facilities is included in the stay for hotel guests; treatments such as massages, which are subject to a charge, must be booked separately. Full opening hours and terms and conditions can be found on the wellness page of the relevant hotel.
