Frequently asked questions about
Holidays with dogs in Ruhpolding

Is my dog welcome at aja Ruhpolding and how much does it cost to stay overnight?

Of course! We look forward to welcoming you and your animal companion. The surcharge for your dog is €25.00 per night (without food). We will prepare everything for you and provide a dog blanket and a bowl directly in your room.

Can my dog accompany me everywhere in the hotel?

Your dog may accompany you in many areas of the hotel. However, we ask for your understanding that four-legged friends are not permitted in the restaurant, bar and the entire spa area. You can of course make yourselves comfortable together in the lobby and in your room.

Which hiking trails are particularly suitable for a tour with a dog?

Ruhpolding is a paradise for hikers with dogs. Here are three great routes for you:

Kneipp Trail: A relaxed circular route (5.2 km) along the Traun river, starting at the Egglbrücke bridge.

Hike over the Unternberg: A more extensive tour (12.6 km) through shady mountain forests to the summit.

Rauschberg and Streicher: A challenging tour (14.1 km) with great views of Lake Chiemsee, for which you and your dog should be in good physical condition and sure-footed.

Is there transport available for the return journey from a hike?

Yes, that's a very practical solution. For example, if you do the hike over the Unternberg, you can easily take the bus back to the centre from the Unternbergbahn valley station. This saves you and your dog the walk through the town centre after a long hike.

What do I need to consider when planning?

It's best to let us know when you make your booking that you are travelling with your dog so that we can reserve a suitable room for you. For the mountain tours in the region, we recommend that you always pack enough water for your dog and pay attention to the condition of the paths (as with the Rauschberg).
