The Philosophers' Trail takes you from St. Anton in Partenkirchen to Farchant. Numerous benches with quotes from famous thinkers invite you to linger. Along the way, you can enjoy fantastic views of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Waxensteine and the Zugspitze massif. The path is also accessible in winter as it is regularly cleared.

Circular hike on the Wank
The starting point is the valley station of the Wankbahn cable car. From there, head via St. Anton to the Tannenhütte. A short stop at the pilgrimage church of St. Anton is worthwhile, as the ceiling frescoes are impressive. The trail continues past the Kesselgraben waterfall up to the Tannenhütte, where you can stop for a bite to eat and enjoy the view. The way back leads via the Eckenhütte and is a varied tour with many impressions.

Partnach-Wetterstein hike
This circular tour is one of the classics around Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It takes you through the impressive Partnachklamm gorge, on to the Partnachalm and back to the town via the Kochelbergalm. On wet days, the path can be slippery in places, so good footwear is a must. The Partnach Gorge itself is one of the most famous sights in the region and offers spectacular views of rocks, water and light shows and is also a real experience for four-legged friends.
